Classroom Procedures and Expectations: All students have a right to learn in a safe and comfortable learning environment; therefore, all students in this classroom community MUST BE RESPECTFUL to one another. As a member of this classroom community you will:
- Be READY- in your seat with materials out and pencils sharpened when the bell rings. Please do not come in and ask to use the restroom; you must do this on your own time. Phones and ear buds on desks means you haven’t tuned in to the class yet. If you are not ready, like your book is in locker, then you will be marked tardy for needing to leave the class to get it.
- Be RESPECTFUL- actively listen to others, do not make insulting or offensive comments or use vulgar language.
- Be RESPONSIBLE- ask questions, use the classroom as an opportunity to learn, keep yourself and others around on task.
- Follow PROCEDURES- coming into the classroom (hats off, phones out of sight, indoor behavior, in seat when bell rings, materials out on desk), speaking with partners, dismissal.
- Life happens: sometimes your internet doesn’t work, the printer broke, you had a late game, or your mom threw out your homework. While I feel your pain, you still need to figure things out; I do not believe in excuses.
Extra Support: I am here to help you be successful and make progress! My door is always open. Come see me if you have any questions or concerns. This is your classroom and education; let’s make the classroom a positive and productive place!
